In her professional and community servant leadership roles, Theia Smith champions for equal access to economic self-sufficiency for women and girls, particularly those whose talent is often overlooked and underestimated. As the director of the Innovative Inclusion team for PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), she channels her pioneering background in inclusive startup ecosystems to advise companies and organizations on how they can break the status quo and accelerate change with their diversity and equity goals. Prior to joining PwC, Theia launched the award-winning Atlanta’s Women’s Entrepreneurship Initiative (WEI) in 2014. Theia serves as a mentor to Atlanta Tech Village as an advisory council member for Access to Capital for Entrepreneurs (ACE) and on the advisory board of Startup Runway. Recognized by Inc. Magazine on their lists of “Inspiring Woman to Watch” and “One of 13 Successful Spelman Alumnae to Watch”, Theia is also an Atlanta Business Chronicle’s “40 Under 40” award recipient and the 2018 honoree of the year by the League of Black Women. Theia is certified in business incubation management by the International Business Innovation Association (InBIA). She is an alumna of Spelman College, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English.
