Emma Benton
Emma Benton is a senior finance executive with broad experience in accounting and financial management. She has an effective hands-on management style in developing and implementing strategic plans to ensure operational goals are met. Emma currently serves as Chief of Finance in Clayton County Public Schools. Before joining CCPS, she worked for more than 25 years for public companies. Along her journey, she has worked for Fortune 500 companies such as General Motors, RJ Reynolds, and Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals.
Emma holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting degree from the University of Montevallo- Montevallo, Alabama, and a Master's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Case Western Reserve University- Cleveland, OH. Additionally, Emma earned a Women's Leadership certificate from Olin Business School Washington University- St. Louis, MO, and is a Certified Public Accountant.
