Childbirth Safety: Birthing Injuries, Health Equity, & Birth Justice

Join us for a one-hour webinar as Paige Rohe (MPH, Founder of The ROBIN Project), Kaprice Welsh(Clinical Liaison, Georgia OBGYN Society), and Dr. Yasmin Tyler-Hill (Chief of Pediatrics at Morehouse School of Medicine) discuss childbirth safety and birthing injuries. The webinar’s objectives are the following:

-Define birth injury and childbirth safety; who is most likely to experience a birth injury (clinically and demographically)? What are the short and long-term clinical impacts of a parent and/or baby experiencing a birth injury?
-Understand why is birth injury, itself, a racial justice and health equity issue; what particular concerns are there about Georgia regarding the intersection of racial equity and poor outcomes on childbirth safety here?
-How can providers enter into conversations with patients specifically about safety and developing birth plans for safety at the forefront?

Those who attend and complete post-webinar evaluation are eligible for a 1 hour CE credit.
