Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition of Georgia (HMHB) invites you to join us as we review our review of prenatal education in the Augusta Perinatal Region.

HMHB provides comprehensive prenatal education and resources to expectant families across the state. With funding from the Healthcare Georgia Foundation in 2017-18, HMHB reviewed currently available prenatal education and expanded the HMHB prenatal education program in the Augusta Perinatal Region.

We reviewed the existing prenatal education programming in the Augusta Perinatal Region for the following indicators:

• Content (evidence-based, topics, cultural competencies, and languages used)

• Accessibility (location, frequency, time of day)

• Instructor background

• Evaluation processes

We will also share results from 20 HMHB prenatal workshops (brief intervention format) conducted in the Augusta Perinatal Region in 2017.
