Help Us Name Georgia's New Perinatal Psychiatry Access Program for Providers!
This survey is being administered by Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition of Georgia to assist the Georgia Department of Public Health in their effort to name the Perinatal Psychiatry Access Program.
This program contains a line for PHYSICIANS and PROVIDERS who need assistance with the identification, treatment and referral process for women they serve who are experiencing perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs). This includes depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder and other psychosis during pregnancy and the postpartum period.
The purpose is to increase the capacity of providers throughout the state to treat PMADs through the following components:
1. Consultations from a perinatal psychiatrist
2. Training and toolkits developed by a perinatal psychiatrist
3. Linkages to community-based resources, including peer support groups
Great! But where should patients and families call for maternal mental health resources currently in the State of Georgia?
