Rachel Powell

Rachel Powell, PhD, MPH, CHES, CPH, is a public health and health equity professional with experience in strategic project management, health communication, breastfeeding, stakeholder engagement, and culturally responsive and equitable research & evaluation. Rachel currently serves as Senior Program Manager at CDC Foundation. Previously, Rachel has worked on various global and domestic public health programs as well as emergency response efforts for the Zika response in Puerto Rico and Ebola response in the U.S. Rachel graduated with her PhD in Health Promotion & Behavior from The University of Georgia, MPH with a dual concentration in Maternal & Child Health and Health Communication & Education from Tulane University; and her Bachelor's of Arts in Communication from Mercer University. A born Texan, Rachel now lives with her husband and 2 young sons in Historic College Park.
