Peer Support Groups

For Moms, By Moms

Our support groups are all run by trained moms across the state of Georgia that will provide you with a safe space to share your experiences, thoughts, achievements, and all the little bits of motherhood! If you or a mother you know is feeling overwhelmed, sad, anxious, distracted, isolated or struggling with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, or obsessive-compulsive disorder, consider joining us for an online peer support group.

Group-based peer support can be a promising intervention for pregnant and postpartum women as a means to both identify and manage emotional needs. The free, virtual peer support groups are to provide understanding and compassionate support to pregnant and postpartum moms as they work through emotional and mental difficulties. Groups are NOT only for first time mothers. They are for any Georgia mom who is currently pregnant or recently had a baby.

All peer groups are led by moms who are trained in how to provide a safe space and facilitate a group. Peer support groups are online only, with dial-in options so you will need access to a computer, tablet, or phone (cell or home). Dates & times of groups vary with weekly & bi-weekly sessions.

PLEASE NOTE: Peer support groups are NOT an alternative to therapy or medical treatment, but works as an added opportunity for encouragement.
